Now, Lionsgate has officially confirmed that Sydney Sweeney will reprise her role in the highly anticipated sequel, The Housemaid’s Secret, with filming set to begin in 2026. Michele Morrone is also returning as Enzo, while Paul Feig will once again take the director’s chair. Sweeney and author Freida McFadden will serve as executive producers, alongside screenwriter Rebecca Sonnenshine, maintaining continuity with the original film and novel series. The first instalment, starring Sweeney, Amanda Seyfried, and Brandon Sklenar, hit theatres in December 2025 and quickly raked in over $133 million worldwide, highlighting the strong fan following and excitement for Millie’s ongoing story.

I love characters like that.” Morrone is confirmed to reprise his role alongside Sweeney, while Amanda Seyfried, though not central to the sequels’ plot, has hinted at returning for a cameo. Seyfried told Variety during the Palm Springs International Film Festival, “I almost guarantee that I’ll be in some small cameo. I really want to see how Nina Winchester continues her journey.”
