A video going viral online has sparked concern after a yacht crew member alleged that a 'super chlamydia' outbreak is spreading rapidly through the luxury yacht scene in St Barts. According to the individual, the infection has moved from boat to boat through crew hookups during peak season, affecting multiple yachts in a short span of time.

The person speaking in the clip stresses that this is not a routine seasonal spike. They describe the situation as unusually widespread and fast-moving, claiming it has already impacted several crews across the marina.



In the video, shared on January 7, the yacht crew member says they work on boats in St Barts and that “a tonne of boats” have allegedly been hit by chlamydia in recent weeks. They claim that when one person on a yacht tested positive, others who had been intimate with them soon followed, allowing the infection to spread quickly across crews.

The worker goes on to allege that the strain being discussed is a so-called “super chlamydia” that is resistant to antibiotics. “This is definitely really bad,” they say in the clip, adding that they have worked multiple seasons in St. Barts and have “never seen it this bad before.”

They also claim that the outbreak was allegedly traced back to one well-known social media influencer, whom they chose not to name “for legal reasons”. According to the speaker, while STD outbreaks have occurred in previous years, the scale and speed of this one feel different.
