According to Indy100, Take-Two’s portfolio, which includes studios like 2K, has a history of announcing upcoming games around its earnings calls to generate excitement and attract investors. Ahead of the last call in November, Rockstar revealed that GTA 6 had been delayed to 19 November 2026.
The next earnings call is scheduled for Tuesday, 3 February, at 9:30pm GMT (4:30pm ET / 1:30pm PT). At a minimum, Take-Two is expected to confirm whether the new GTA 6 release date is still on track. Fans also hope for a third trailer, new screenshots, updated artwork or pre-order details, though these remain speculative.
As soon as the post surfaced on social media, it quickly went viral. One Reddit user said, “The May conference is the most important because that's where we'll find out if it's delayed or not.”
“I mean even then we probably won't get a confirmation since Strauss Zelnick literally said that the game was on pace to release in 2025 at last year's earnings call just for the delay news to drop next week,” another said.
“Oh, the ‘Rockstar seem confident with their release date’ event.”
"We are still confident in our November 19, 2026 release date."
"Is about all we'll see here. I would put money on us seeing something around the May one, though.”
“If the game is indeed releasing in 2026, then I think trailer 3 should release in may together with the earnings call, since that would make most sense, since that's usually when they release trailer 3, 6 to 4 months before the Game's launch, that was the case for both GTA 5 and RDR2; hopefully it is for GTA 6 too.”
